September at a Glance

Hello Everyone,

Well this last month has been rather hectic with many many things taking place. Our move is complete we are now completely in our new home. A week or so after moving in we found a small sign on the door, it read, House on Heavens Hill. Wow thank you Lord.

I (Joe) was so blessed to have made the travel to Northern Thailand for the closing ceremonies of the third semester at the Calvary Chapel Training Center that Pastor Eric has going. Joe Orozco a young man we met a during our time in the Philippines finished his time at the school and came down to Phuket with us for about a week. Great time of fellowship with this young man as he also greatly assisted in the move, we had an immense amount of time driving back and forth from old house to new and back. He left us on the 6th and Robert Parker arrived on the 7th. Having Robert around for a few days was nice while I tried to not only recoup from travel and the move, we had Drama training, Robert, church and preparing to travel back to Bangkok for the first annual Calvary Chapel Missions Conference and to meet this years CCVV short term team. The conference was "Equipping the Saints" and based around Ephesians 4:11-16. I was given the task of teaching 11 reaching unity of faith. The conference went great with the opportunity to meet and fellowship with many new missionary friends as well as some we have not seen for quite some time. While at the conference I was also formally ordained as a pastor.

The Thailand team (Nelsons and Sam) traveled back with the American team on an overnight bus to Ban Nam Khem for a few days of ministry. We did several outreaches, one of which was visiting all my friends inside the Prison where I have been teaching English during our stay here in Southern Thailand. We then traveled down to Phuket where both teams where able to participate in the ministry in Patong. Let me tell you after dark this is no place to be! The freaks come out at night. When the team left we picked up a new Thailand team member, Kayberlynn Seals from CCVV has committed to stay with us for about 5 months. Thank you Lord for sending more servants.

Sarah had mentioned in our last post about the youth group we are training in the Youth For Truth dramas, tomorrow they will do their first live presentation to both their congregation and ours. We have two separate church bodies meeting in the same location. The youth with also be traveling about three hours North later this month on a week long "Mission trip" to preform the dramas and evangelize. We have taught them two dramas and one clown skit so far and we are all very excited to see what the Lord is going to do with these youth.

As a team we are currently serving in many different areas, Joe has discipleship once a week with two young men from the fellowship, Sarah has a weekly women's ministry meeting, as a team we go out with some of the church members to do street evangelism, Sam and Kayberlynn are serving at the Burmese school we helped get started, weekly drama training, and of course Church on Sunday.

Prayer requests:
Spiritual Growth in the Church
Fruitful time of street witnessing
Health, we have all had a cough for several weeks
Vehicle funds
Finances in general
